Anthony Pothoulakis, M.D., FACC

Dr. Anthony is a practicing cardiologist in Atlanta, Georgia. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in clinical cardiology and internal medicine. He has also received certification by the Council of Nuclear Cardiology in nuclear cardiology and holds a testamur status in echocardiography by the American Society of Echocardiography.

Dr. Anthony's postgraduate medical training included a two year Emergency Medicine Residency in the United Kingdom, a two year Internal Medicine Residency in Dayton, Ohio, and a four year Cardiology Fellowship in Toledo, Ohio. He also worked as an interventional and general cardiologist in both the private sector and the Veterans Administration in Dayton and Columbus, Ohio.

From 2003 - 2007 Dr. Anthony served as assistant clinical professor of internal medicine at the Wright State University Boonshoft School of Medicine.

In 2007 Dr. Anthony and George Demosthenous founded uKare Analytics, a company with a mission to create innovations in health care education for the public, patient-centric medical profile reports, along with tools and products related to cardiometabolic health and chronic disease management.

In 2012 Dr. Anthony co-authored and published "Abdobesity, The Belly Fat That Kills" that deals with the obesity epidemic, explains the ways belly fat damages our arteries, and suggests things we can do to prevent and treat not only obesity but also heart disease and diabetes.

From 2010-2013 Dr. Anthony was the Director of the Cath Lab at Iasis Clinic in Chania, Crete.  In addition, he hosted a weekly radio program about wellness and prevention, that broadcasted throughout Chania, which is located in the heart of the Mediterranean Diet Country.    

In 2015 Dr. Anthony launched Arteries in Harmony with the goal of spreading his message to anyone and everyone who will embrace the principles of WELLNESS and PREVENTION through social media and speaking engagements.

Dr. Anthony enjoys spending time with his wife Katerina and son Yianni and exercising on the tennis court and the gym. He also loves playing Bach and writing music.
